 I'm not sure how to make certain keywords show my site when entered into a search engine, how many keywords does it take and what file do I put them in?

It sounds like you are talking about getting ranked by Google or one of the other search engines. Unless, you talking spending some money with ADwords to buy placement, you've got some work ahead of you to create some content and have the search engines spider your site. You can submit your site to the search engines, but there is no guarantee you will get ranked right away. I think there is some info in the forum or the first video about submitting your site.
