On one of my site I just discovered I am getting a 404 error message on all of my pages except for the homepage.  Tried reloading Kwds, but didn't help.  Site is charmtime.com, hosted at HostGator, should I contact them or can you help me straighten this out?

Contact HG; it must be an issue with that particular server...

This is the message I received from HG:

"For most of the links on the left side of the page leading to the 404 pages is
caused by the fact that there are no pages that are named that way in the
public_html folder.  You will need to upload those pages, with the same file
names, include the upper case letters to make the site function properly.

I don't think their answer applies to these sites.  I have tried to figure out why this site is having this problem and how it is different than my other sites that are not having this problem.  I really don't want to redo the whole site, is there parts of it I could reload? 

I noticed that the Search box is gone, did you turn off the 404 error handling as well?
 

also, if you made major changes to the template, try another design unmodified design and see if it makes a difference.

You could do a local install and upload the .htaccess file through ftp

Now that I've gotten Google calmed down, I am back to trying to fix this problem.  I did try your suggestion of using another design template but it did not solve the problem.  I did not make any major changes anyway.  I did remove the search boxes thinking that was the Google problem as stated in the other message string, but where is the 404 error file, I cannot find one in any of the sites?  The access file is intact, why would I need to reload it.  Guess I just don't know enough when it comes to some of this stuff, I am learning, but slowly. 

I went over this site with a fine tooth comb and compared it with my other EZAWB sites, it has all the same files included, nothing is missing or added but I am still getting the HG 404 error pages and can't figure out what is triggering them.  First page works fine, all the others pages get the error message has to be somewhere in the kwds file doesn't it?

I did send you a personal offline message that gave the cpanel address & pw for the site that I am receiving 404 errors on.  Did you get it?  I appreciate any help you could provide.

Fixed; as I suggested, the .htaccess file needed to be re-uploaded.
