I have received a warning from Google pertaining to all of the sites that I have built with EZAWB.  I believe they are referring to the search box that appears in 2 places on the sites.  It is not a Google search box but does contain the words "click here", I really cannot figure out what exactly it's purpose is and would like to know how to remove it from my sites before I get in trouble with Google.  I have answered their query but have not received a reply.  It may be that the words "click here" are too close to some Adsense ads I have on the site and they consider that a violation.  I have looked over the sites and cannot see any other place that they think is in violation.  Please check out:  Instanttattoodesign.com, uggs4u.com, shirts2u.com, couponmania.com, punkrags.com and see if you can understand what they see as a violation.  Thanks!  Need to get this resolved right away, one of these sites is earning me $15+ per day and I do not want to loose that.

The only section I can think of is where it says "Click here for advanced search tips!" <-- But This IS not a violation; you are simply stating to click to get advanced search tips. You are not encouraging "clicks" on ads.

Anyway; you can remove that in the design number file you are using (designX.php).

If that $15 is not coming from adsense, you can just disable adsense completely or in that section. Google has been on a bit of a tear lately, so it maybe easier to remove adsense, especially if it is not making you any money..my 4 cents  laughing7

Looking at the sites, i doubt if it is the Search box, it looks more like the ads yu have in Side 1, I would think where the Listing For closesness to he Adwords may be an issue. On the tattoo site some of the other adwords placement maybe a little close.   Huh?

Thanks for the input!  Yes, the $15 per day is coming from adsense and I do not want to get on their bad side.  I will remove the seach boxes and see if that helps, becuase it is a holiday, I have still not gotten a reply from Google regarding this issue.  KwameG - I suppose you are referring to adsense when you mention adwords, is there a problem with intermixing those ad blocks with other affiliate banners?

I have gone over design(x).php with a fine tooth comb and cannot figure out how to delete the search boxes.  I am really afraid thisis what they are targeting as a violation.  I guess it looks too much like a Google search box even though all of us here know it is not and if they bothered to click on it they would figure it out too.  Please tell me where in the code I can delete it, thanks!  Even though they said I had 3 business days to reply and correct the problem, and one of those days is today, a holiday, they have already remove adsense ads from 3 of my sites.  Need help fast, thanks!

Sorry, yes I was referring to adsense. I do not think there is  problem intermixing, but some time if they are too close, there can be issues.

you probably want to check Goog's guidelines again.

Looking at this post: http://www.ezaffiliatewebsitebuilder.com/eBay-Affiliate-Forum/index.php/topic,16.0.html  i think the line you want to remove is:

Code:
<?=$ebaysearch?> Displays the search box - NOTHING TO DO WITH eBay

I haven't had the chance to try it out, but maybe it will help.  When you hear from Goog, let ud  know what the deal is.

Good Luck and hope this helps.

Finally figured out how to remove both top & bottom search boxes and switched some other stuff around, hopefully this will satisfy Google!  I will keep this forum posted as to what they say, if they ever give me a satisfactory answer, thanks again for your input!

Good Job, Maybe Google will play nicer now.. let us know if they ever answer and or if they restore ads back to the sites after you removed the search box.     Smiley

I finally got a reply from Google regarding the violation on my EZAWB sites.  I had made several changes trying to figure out what they were targeting, as they email to me was not very specific about the violation.  Turns out it was not the search boxes or the links I had added in the footer, I ended up making a lot of unnecessary changes.  What they were referring to was that I had added a text link in the #1 sidebar underneath the page name header, they felt this was misleading and so I have removed all of those text links and added them down further under the #3 sidebar, hopefully they will feel this is in compliance with their rules.  Luckily in the meantime they had not pulled any more of my ads, so probably did not miss many clicks.  Hope this exercise can help someone else avoid any problems with Google.
