Jorge

Good morning,

after a long night of modifying code and customizing the css1.css file i have come up with a few problems  and I hope you can help fix them I'm sure they are  small things I over looked..

1) I moved around some of the includes so that the site looks a little different.. seemed to work fine

2)when you click on any of the ebay categories i get this error at the top of my pages
"Notice: Undefined variable: Antiques in /home/stormsar/public_html/antiques/index.php on line 0"
I'm not to sure what this means for i have not  played around with this file.

3) there are a few spots  on the site i could not change the text color you  would you be able to point out where i missed this in the css1.css

Thanks

Ren

There is probably something wrong with the config.php file, make sure it has no spaces at the end and that everything is in the same format as the original.

As far as colors, some of them are formatted within the design1.php and you can change them there.

Jorge

I think my error was made when i moved lines of code around in the design1.php. so i have restored the origanal.

would it be best to  move the lines of code where i want them then comment out the old lines?

pluging away this is fun Smiley

Sure; you could do that and once it is like you like it you could take the commented stuff out.

Jorge

Hi Fixing the colors was easy I just over looked the code in the design1 lol.

I have run in to another problem hehe sorry to become a pain.

my front page is set up and looks good but if i click on lets say the first category's when the page loads it does not keep the same design as the front page..

also my headers and footers are not there is there an easy fix for this i would like the design to be the same though the whole site.

I would also like the places where i put banners to stay. because I'm about to install a banner ad rotation script but i can't do that until  i have fixed this problem.

I wonder if it has to do with the subdesign.php?

thanks for your time

Jorge

lol  well i found the answer to my question in the sub-design1.php that fixed the look problem DOH!!

and the header and footers stay.. its the content sections that do not hold can you explain. if i put ads in these spots they do not carry though the whole site.

I don't know why the ads would not hold; I would suggest adding css for those ads.
