Hello All, I noticed when looking at my statcounter info that a lot of people are landing on pages that look like  mydomain.com/buy/lionel union pacific, and you notice it has that little word "buy" in the url, well these pages seem to have the ebay widget, a blank white background, No products, and my adds.

Looking at my stats I can see that people are looking at these pages ( they were referred by google ) and saying "yuck" and leaving because there is nothing there, is there any way to tweak the robots.txt so the search engines don't show these pages?

Thanks, Gib evil4

Yes, you could block SE's from accessing these pages... They are probably sending traffic there because those were old indexed pages.

However; instead of blocking SE's, why don't you give them what they want and install EZAWB in those folders?

You could create a new install in the folder mydomain.com/buy/

Ok, now you have lost me, It is an EZAWB site and looking through the folders on my server I can't find a directory called "buy" am I supposed to create a page called by in other content or what?

here is an example of what I am talking about: www.fashionbanana.com/buy/vintage rayban, click on it and see.

Thanks, Gib

Gib,

Create a NEW installation under the folder buy. You will have to create the folder.

Sorry if I seem a little dense, so are you saying to create a folder called buy in the root directory of the existing site and then install the entire EZAWB package inside it just as if I where doing a new install, and do I use the same keywords and everything?

Correct; I would use the keywords that people are looking for or the keywords search engines are sending.
