Can you tell I have been saving up questions  icon_biggrin

It looks like from the code that the search boxes are Ebay based but... there is nowhere to put in our ebay ID.  Is this just and artifact from the Ebay sites?  Also wondering why you didn't go with Google search.

The tag is the same from the eBay builders, but it does not get anything from eBay... I was just too lazy to change my code Roll Eyes

The reason why I did not go with Google search is because I rather you guys get the recent searches made to build keyword lists, better market your sites, find niches, etc.

PLUS, you will get AdSense ads when people search anyway Wink

Your thoughts...?

I thought that might be the case with the code.  It didn't look like it was pulling Ebay results just wanted to double check.  I hadn't thought about the other issue of self building with recent searches.  Makes sense.  Once again you are a step ahead of me  icon_thumright

While I am on the keyword topic.  I LOVE the new random module.  Do you have any tips on how to best use it?  Maybe a short explanation of how it works.

Thanks Chris Smiley

The random keywords module will take a minimum and a maximum number (set by you) of your keywords and rotate those in your pages.

It is very handy for VERY long keyword lists so you don't have hundreds of links showing up on the side menu; it just looks ugly. But with the random keywords, you will always only show a set number therefore making your sites cleaner looking.

Does that answer your question?

Ok I have been playing and thinking some more about the random keyword module.

Very dangeous  Huh? Shocked

So here are my questions

1 what is the relationship between max links shown that has always been there and the new module.  It seems I need to reduce the max links number down to less than the number of total keywords for the random module to kick in.  for example if I have 150 keywords and max shown is set to 300 the random module does not seem to work until I reduce max links to show to under 150 and I usually just set it to my max rand number.  Is that right?

2 what is up with the new privacy policy link and site map link.  They seem to get jumbled in with the links when random is turned on.  Is there a way to separate them that I am missing?  It is really noticible if you have only 5 or six keywords.

Ok that is it for tonight.

Thanks for all your hard work Jorge.  I bet you just cringe when I get in a posting mood   evil4

No cringing here Grin Post as much as you want icon_thumleft

Answers:

1- There is no relation; however, if you show all your links on the first module then the random is really not doing anything for you. I recommend you use one or the other OR set the first to show less than the total number of keywords. Regardless; the random keywords will always work, it will just show your set number of keywords randomly UNLESS you set min & max to 0.

2- The privacy policy is there for you to see it has been added. You could delete it from the keywords file and then just put a link elsewhere on your site. Then it will not be jumbled in with your other links.

I hope I answered your questions Smiley
