Surpris Surprise

Ok here was my idea.  Instead of using basic for category specific us mega and replace the main categories with sub categories of the specific category.  I tried on bidforcoins.net and I can't get rid of the main categories.  Here is the code I have used in the categories config in the installer

Hi Chris,

You would have to rename the folders in the mega installation to match your categories.

And

You will need to replace the files "links.php" and "links2.php" with your own category link files.

Let me know how that works.

Also...

Your php variables in your code cannot be changed to what you changed them to.

You could however change the category numbers to match the renamed folders, for example:

Baby changed to Gold-Coins

Ok still confused.  I understand how to code numbers and not variables that is straight forward but the links.php files seem to be in binary and therefore I can't edit them.

I put those in binary mode so people would not change them and break the Mega installation.

Just create new links.php and links2.php files and overwrite the old ones with your new ones.

As far as getting that error, you should not get it... There may be another reason for getting that error.

You can do many basic installs OR modify the mega as discussed previously.

Either way should work.

No, there is nothing in the mega admin.

Either way works for me.  I just blew out everything and started from scratch with a single basic install of the new version.  Basically I want to do whichever will be easier to replicate across different domains with different categories.  I would like to do this with all 65 or so of my category specific domains.  I would love some help.  The domain is www.bidforcoins.net and same User and pass as the other I PMed you the other day.  PM when you get a few minutes and can work with me on it and I will give you a ring.

I am still working on the keywords and adding content.

The content part is where my next question comes in.  I am trying to add static content to each ot the sub categories ie http://www.bidforcoins.net/half-cents/

I have tried naming middle content half cents, and half-cents and neither seems to overide the rotate0 I have the amazon widget on.

Any thoughts?

Try naming the content "Half Cents" without the quotes

Remember that your content has to be named EXACTLY as your keywords.

Hi Everybody,
  Jorge I'm trying to hone the mega program. My questions is if I want a more pure result from eBay Motors.
What can I do to get just the make & model I want in the result vs stickers, access., parts.
I have already tried editing the category and replaced the keywords.
Yes the result are trimmed but still not excluding the above mentioned access. items, etc.
