Hi,

I am about to really screw I think Evil I have serveral domain names thru godaddy. I set up my ezAWB with my godaddy name (plumbcheap.com) and hosted on hostgator account. What I want to do is  turn off the plumbcheap.com name and  switch my corvetteauction.info name to my hostgator account. I only have one host account and will park the plumbcheap.com name.
Is there a great deal of crap in doing this??   Basically I just want to change my site name to corvetteauctions.info

Thanks,
Chris Huh?

Hi Chris,

You need to do that through host gator.

Point your new domain to host gator, then contact them to change it in your hosting account.

Host Gator is pretty good about support.

Why don't you get an unlimited domain hosting account?

It would be faster to just add a new domain name into your HG account Wink

Jorge,

I just upgraded my hosting with hostgatoe to the baby account which has unlimited domains. My question now is, will my new domain have to have my primary domain name in the URL IE wwwplumbcheap.com/corvetteauction.info?  I  am hoping no Undecided and do I just install into my public_html or upload a new public html folder  I want the two sites to have deffirent key/content .

Im getting there slowly but surely LOL Sorry for asking alot of questions  Grin

Ihad the same thing going on before I switched to a reseller account with hostgator.   The short answer is no as long as you add it right.  HostGator has some good FAQ's on how to do it.  It will look like it in the control panel but you will be able to type in www.corvetteauctions.info and it will come up.  Look for the faq on subdomain vs add on domain and it should explain it.

Never tried.  I updated to a reseller account where each domain has its own cpanel....Still wondering how smart that was.  Easier to administer, but less bandwith and disk storage. Sad

The main reason I switched is at some point I may sell some of my domains with hosting to make some extra cash so that is the easiest and best setup i have found.

Chris,

The other Chris is correct Grin; it will seem that way in the cPanel but you can just type in your regular domain name and access it that way too.

Good job other Chris. Grin Thank you! icon_salut
