Is it possible to link an rss feed to the site to provide content generation?

Yes, if you look at http://www.ezaffiliatewebsitebuilder.com we have implemented our eBay forum RSS feeds. You can do the same with your eBay affiliate website.

LOL OK...

You will need an RSS parsing script. You can do a search for RSS script and once you find one you like you can specify your eBay RSS feed address.

I know KwameG is using an RSS parser; maybe you can ask him where he got it.

We call on Kwameg to help another ezAWBer  icon_salut

There are several I have looked into,  Newsgator is pretty slick and mostly free, rssfeedreader.com is cool, but it cost if you want to do any customization., they let use create feeds for Clickbank and Amazon and news in general.  There are several others.  I will do some checking around and see what  I come up with.

And of course you can Google - free rssfeed and pick one that suits you.  Cool

With regards to rss I have tried to have a feed on my site but whichever module I place the php code I keep getting a parse error like below.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home2/*********/public_html/side1.php on line 8.

Unfortunately I have no knowledge of php so I am asking the geniuses among us for a little help.  Wink  icon_cheers

Ps I am using carp as the rss parser

Mucho thanks in advance,

Thanks Jorge, you've got it working now, but the problem I have now is that although the rss feed displays, it appears to be pushed to the bottom of the page rather than staying in the top content area. Huh?

I put it in other content for testing.

Just create a blank other content to delete it and add it to the page you want it in. icon_thumright

Sorry Jorge but I must be your worst nightmare  Sad but how do I/We stop the rss feed placed in the top content section from being pushed to the bottom of the page? (ie http://ticketsandtravel.co.uk/Ricky-Hatton-Vs-Juan-Lazcano.html)

Chris,

Your html carp configuration settings were wrong... Try this:

Code:
<center><?php
require_once '/home2/ticketsa/carp/carp/carp.php';
// Add any desired configuration settings before CarpCacheShow
// using "CarpConf" and other functions

CarpConf('maxitems',5);
CarpConf('cacheinterval',120); // cache it every 2 hours
CarpConf('poweredby','');
CarpConf('linktarget'1);
CarpConf('filterin','England|New Zealand');

CarpCacheShow("http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/sportonline_uk_edition/cricket/rss.xml");
?>
</center>

If you don't want it centered try this:
Code:
<?php
require_once '/home2/ticketsa/carp/carp/carp.php';
// Add any desired configuration settings before CarpCacheShow
// using "CarpConf" and other functions

CarpConf('maxitems',5);
CarpConf('cacheinterval',120); // cache it every 2 hours
CarpConf('poweredby','');
CarpConf('linktarget'1);
CarpConf('filterin','England|New Zealand');

CarpCacheShow("http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/sportonline_uk_edition/cricket/rss.xml");

?>

This is the page I tested with:
http://ticketsandtravel.co.uk/England-v-New-Zealand-(Cricket).html

Hope this helps.

Also, I recommend using the forums at the carp website. They have a lot of resources there.
