How to Build a Blog and How to Make Money Blogging

"I am new to this but I haven’t seen info here on blogging and its income potential. How about showing us how to build a blog and how to make money with it thanks"

There are many ways of building a blog; I will just mention a few and recommend you do your own research to come up with what is best for you.

The word blog was actually derived from web log, which means a collection of an author’s thoughts as well as his discussions on a topic of interest. Virtually all individuals who have grasped the knowledge of the use of the internet are operating their own blogs, either by paid domains or by free social and blogging community accounts. In every minute that passes, thousands of blog accounts are being created. If you are one of the individuals who do not yet have their own blog sites, then you are in for a treat!

Building a Blog

If you are to set up your very own blog site, don’t aim for a plain and simple blog. Make it distinct. Make it different. To keep your blog on the top pile of the millions of blog accounts that thrive on the internet, consider the following points:

• Decide on which community you should blog. Many people would recommend WordPress.com over blogger.com. Many would insist that MySpace is way cooler than multiply, Friendster and other social networks that integrate free blogging applications. Do your research. If possible, ask your blogging friends for help. I personally like WordPress…
• When it comes to blogging, appearances can be everything. The building block of a high-traffic or successful blog is a distinct template or clean layout and appearance. This makes your page appealing to the eyes of your visitors.
• Strive to always post unique, interesting, useful and classic content. The content of your blog site is what draws people and readers to your page.
• Express yourself. Writing about things that interest you makes writing easier and more entertaining. If you are to compose your blog entries, drawing inspiration from within can make your blog unique. It is true that every person is unique but people usually have common interests. Focus on your interests for it allows you to easily think of ideas and topics to write about, ideas that will keep your readers asking for more.
• Entertain your readers. Make use of add-ons that allow your readers to contact you or leave you some message. Allow commentaries. Also, post an “about me” page so your readers can relate more to your blogs.

Monetizing and Making Money with Your Blog

According to theory, a high-traffic blog site commands a commercial value that corresponds to its online popularity. The key is maintaining high traffic. Aside from that, you can make use of one or more of these tools and tips to effectively monetize your blog account.

• Banner ad blocks to gain higher CTR and enjoy high click through rate
• Make use of affiliate programs but be easy in posting affiliate links. Strive to make your blog page clean. Too many affiliate links makes any page cluttered.
• Be easy on text link ads. Putting too many links is a turn off in any web content.
