When people visit your affiliate website(s) you may or may not generate sales and/or commissions. Some people will leave and never come back either way...
But if you are able to capture names and emails for a few of those visitors, you will be able to email them when you have new content on your site, new products, new promotions, etc. Therefore increasing your chances of making more money in the future.
Don't wait as long as I did to get an auto responder; it took me over 4 years to get one and in the first 3 months my online income doubled just by starting an email marketing campaign.
